Karen Rogotzke, experienced educator and leader in cross-curricular literacy, offers individual and small-group instruction on reading and writing strategies and skills in all content areas as well as Common Core English Regents prep classes. She has eighteen years of experience teaching English in grades 6-10, has been a teacher leader in K-12 literacy for six years, and is currently an AIS coordinator and teacher for a local high school.  Karen’s literacy training, classroom teaching experience as well as her experience working with school districts as a consultant, has given her insight and knowledge necessary to successfully work with and support all students. She has a plethora of tools and strategies to offer to students in order to find success and build confidence in their reading and writing skills across the board. Karen holds a B.A. in Psychology and English Education, a Master’s Degree in Reading from SUNYA, and a N.Y.S. Literacy Certificate for grades 5-12.

Mrs. Rogotzke always sees the potential in every student and helps them become excellent writers and readers. She fosters a sense of confidence and ability in students that encourages students to rise above and succeed. (CS)
